We meet via Zoom on the second Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm CST. We have a short demonstration generously given by on of our members and an occasional guest artist, followed by a short business meeting, and best of all, "show and Tell" where anyone can share their recent creations.
If you would like to visit a meeting, email [email protected] to receive the Zoom link.

July 11 Demo: Gail Garbe's Wave Form Vessel
The kit I created gives you the ability to make a Wave Form Vessel from polymer clay - a blank canvas to display your own patterns, veneers, and colour palette. That base form (which is the inside layer of your wave form vessel) measures 3” x 5” x 3-1/2”. The kit includes a 5-page step-by-step guideline with pictures, a 3D printed drape form, a 3D cutter for the base, 2 copies of the template for cutting the polymer clay and used for supporting the clay during curing, along with shape retainers to be used during the curing. Once cured it’ll be up to you to put your own touch to the form by creating a covering veneer. The YouTube takes you through the steps that are outlined in the kit guidelines. The kit is available on my Etsy shop: www.Etsy.com/ca/shop/NiftyStuffByGail, check your KCPCG email for a discount code good for the month of July.
If you purchase the kit ahead of time, and want to work along, you will need:
The very basic tools – Pasta Machine, knife, smoothing tool, tile
Small amount of painters tape
Enough clay to make an 11-1/2” x 4” strip @ a thick setting (this is the ‘inside’ or blank canvas of your vessel)
Cardstock (recommend the teardrop inserts are traced and glued to make them double thickness)
UHU glue
No kit? Sit back and enjoy watching as the 3D form kit is the main attraction! The forms have been measured to perfectly fit around and inside the vessel during construction. Looking forward to demoing! Thank you for the invite!

The Kansas City Polymer Clay Guild began in late 2005 as a small group of polymer clay artists gathered under the direction of Anne Rowe. Sixteen years later, our group has grown to over 31 active or honorary members. Several of our members are from the KC metro area and all over Missouri as well...and even have a few from out-of-state.
We are an enthusiastic group of polymer clay makers! We have award-winning veteran clay makers as well as members who are just beginning their journey. Everyone is happy to share their knowledge and skills with the group!
We would love to have you join us at our meetings and become an active member of our guild. We are always interested in meeting other clayers and making new friends. Come join us...we're loads of fun!!!
Here are a few of our members and guests at one of the last live workshops we had at the clubhouse in Shawnee, KS. This is where we normally meet for our play days.
First row: Janie Clark, Tina Haskins, Robin Young
Second row: June Duckworth Liz Kirsch
Third row: Peggy Bellm and Kathy Fritz
Fourth row: Lindly Haunani and Michelle Wineland
Fifth row: Beverly Potty and Marlene Gremillion
Sixth row: Patty Welch and Heidi McCullough
Top row: Roberta Sorenson, Anne Rowe, Renee Becka, and Kim Keane
Learn from some of the most skilled and sought-after artists as they do in-person demonstrations (when restrictions are lifted)...
Shown here is Melanie West demonstrating her organic-style technique in a workshop held in 2018.
We have several types of demonstrations. These demos range from hands-on, follow along, as well as instructor-led demos. So no matter what your learning style is, we've got you covered.
So many of us have formed lasting friendships! It all started with joining the guild and getting to know one another. And nothing is more fun than getting together and enjoying each other's company with your polymer clay besties!
